Software Engineer, Android Core Product - Pomona, USA. Speechifys mission is to ensure reading is not a barrier to learning. Our text-to-speech products help users turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio, enabling faster reading, more reading, and better retention. We offer an iOS app, Android app, Mac app, Chrome Extension, and Web App. Speechify is distributed (no office) with a diverse team spanning global locations.

This role is ideal for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys making product decisions, and has experience building compelling user experiences in Android.

What Youll Do

• Own major features and collaborate with design to deliver high-quality Android features.
• Shape the future of our Android team and contribute to product decisions.
• Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Participate in cross-team discussions (Product, Design, Engineering).
• Review pull requests and support team members.
• Handle critical issues and adapt to unexpected challenges.
• Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for QA.

Salary : United States-based range for this role is 140,000-200,000 USD per year plus bonus and stock, depending on experience.
