Company. Mavel Americas, Inc. is the Boston-based subsidiary of Mavel, a.s., a Czech-American owned renewable energy company based outside of Prague, Czech Republic. Mavel is a leading global supplier of turbines and related equipment for small and medium hydroelectric power projects. The company offers a full range of turbines, including Kaplan, Francis and Pelton, providing customers with customized and optimized solutions. A leader in research and development, Mavel offers innovative solutions for both refurbishment and greenfield projects. Mavel Americas, Inc. oversees all of Mavels operations in the Americas, including Canada, USA and Latin America. The company has grown rapidly over the past five years and expects significant continued growth.

Responsibilities. The Chief Financial Officer will be a member of the senior management team of this fast-growing renewable energy company. Responsibilities will be split into operations, reporting, planning and strategy.

Accounting and Finance Operations Oversite. Manage the accounting department and supervise staff in the following areas :

Bank statement reconciliations

Customer receivables

Vendor payables

Preparation of invoices / purchase orders

Expense report summaries and payment

Expense analysis

Intercompany invoicing and quarterly reporting

Inter-company account reconciliations

Compilation of company information required for annual tax returns

Financial Reporting. Global

Oversee preparation and accuracy of financial statements, reports and filings

Quarterly reporting to Mavel, a.s.

Oversite of audit and consolidation of financials with Mavel, a.s.

Financial Planning and Analysis. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and financial models to guide the companys financial strategy.

Stategic Planning. Work with senior management team to develop financial strategy.

Desired Qualifications.

Strong educational background in accounting and finance

Preference for MBA or CPA credentials

At least ten years relevant experience

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Proficient in Google and Microsoft applications as well as accounting software

Experienced team leader

Ability to analyze financial data and make strategic recommendations that will impact the companys future
