job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvides complete, comprehensive, clinical care for all patients in the fields of internal medicine, hematology, and oncology. Provides clinical care services including, but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care, preventive and health care maintenance to patients. Works collaboratively with other providers and nurses to provide comprehensive, compassionate health care to all patients. Reassesses progress of the disease as treatment progresses and pursue alternative therapies as needed, as well as palliative care when appropriate. Maintains patients quality of life by managing cancer-related pain and other symptoms and side effects of treatment. Maintains timely and detailed notes of appointments with patients. Prepares official health documents or records, when necessary. Participates in committees, quality assurance activities, and continuing medical education to maintain excellence in clinical practice. Other related duties as assigned. MD or DO from accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine. Board certification or board eligibility in Hematology / Oncology / Internal Medicine. Current and unrestricted New York State license and DEA number. Bi-lingual in English and Chinese, required. 3+ years of experience preferred but all welcome.
