As a Environmental Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by :
Lead, direct, and train plant supervision and employees to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Prepare and submit environmental reporting including but not limited to SARA, RCRA, EPCRA, RMP, CBS, and Title V.
Monitors implementation plans and tracks corrective action plans.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Management programs.
Coordinate selection of programs and technologies to reduce water, waste and air emissions.
Collaborate with site leadership and corporate EHS teams to align environmental strategies and share best practices.
Provide support as necessary to the site EHS leader to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local environmental requirements.
Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices.
Participate EHS audits and assessments.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Seven (7) years combined environmental compliance experience in a manufacturing setting in a private, public, government or military environment
One (1) year of experience in working with EPA & NYS Air regulations, RACT, MACT
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :
Master’s degree or higher in an Environmental Engineering or EHS related field from an accredited institution
Experience and knowledge in environmental compliance (air, waste, water)
Strong demonstration of project management skills and ability to manage activities and resources to achieve targets and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and inspire others.
Strong communication skills (oral, written and presentation).
Process Safety Management.
Work location : On-site, Towanda, NY
Travel : May include up to 10% domestic / international
