Pain Management Nurse Practitioner
Compensation : $190,000 per year
Duties and Responsibilities
Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
Work under the direction of a fellowship-trained pain physician.
Consider and work toward a long-term plan for each patient while attending to immediate, visit-specific needs.
Interview and examine patients; review outside studies and medical histories.
Treating a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain disorders,
Performing trigger point, joint, nerve, and soft tissue injections.
Reading X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging.
Document patient care services on the day of service.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications :
At least 3 years of experience in pain management or any relevant specialties
Experience with workers’ comp patients is highly preferred
Preference towards procedures is a plus
Must have a current California license, graduate from an approved Nurse Practitioner Program, and be certified by the appropriate credentialing body.
Minimum one year of experience as an NP / FNP
One year of experience in Pain Management is preferred
Active DEA license without restrictions.
Must have a current California license.
Able to work in San Mateo, CA
