Position Summary :
As Systems Administrator, you will provide support to Digital Information Technology and Cyber Network Infrastructure for Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) located in Point Mugu, California. This position is % at Government location.

- Must be a US citizen with DoD Top Secret security clearance
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Install, configure, and maintain the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and datacommunications hardware and softwareEnsure communications and information integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing security controls in accordance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations.Perform backups of system-level, user-level, and security related information.Test integrity of backup and restoration procedures in accordance with defined policies.Provide input in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures.Maintain growth statistics, space forecasts and software and hardware inventories.Perform STIG reviews on a quarterly basis to ensure compliance and provide a report of non-compliant STIGS to the Government POC.Conduct monthly maintenance on system assets.Required Education, Skills, and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Experience will be accepted in lieu of degreeCompTIA Security+ or equivalent certificationAt least years' experience in systems administrationExperience with Windows and Linux operating systemsProblem solving and troubleshooting skillsGood verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to describe technical implementationsAbility to organize work activities to ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilitiesAbility to create / describe work activity estimates, progress and issuesMotivated, self-starter who is able to thrive in a fast, rapidly changing environmentDesire to learnAbility to foster positive work relationships with customers, co-workers, and visitorsPhysical Demands and Expectations :
