Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk

Requirements include :

Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook products and working knowledge of ERP Systems. Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounts receivable and general accounting experience required.

Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payables / general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and general accounting procedures.

Must have previous experience in processing invoices (incoming & verifying PO’s or receiving tickets), posting to vendor accounts and processing cleared checks.

Job Duties Include :

Utilizes computerized ERP accounting module to perform duties and responsibilities.

Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions

Posting all cash receipts, discounts, allowances, price differences, returns and other change backs to customer accounts timely and accurately

Process invoices to customers from shipments made ensuring accuracy and that all charges are billed (I.e. taxes, freight, etc)

Processing customers invoices through designated websites

Maintaining thorough, well organized accounts receivable customer files by customer

Researche cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts; resolving all outstanding payment issues in a timely manner

Generates accounting statements, reports and notices

Maintain Sales Tax Region and Rates

Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment

Process purchase order (P.O.) matching invoices, up to 100 plus line items

Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms

Process check requests

$22.00-24.00 / hr
