Monday – Friday 7 : 00 . – 3 : 00 . (minimum 37.5 hours / week) SALARY :

$50,142-$60,171 annually, commensurate with education and experience

FUNCTION OF THE JOB :

Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville is accepting applications for two Welding Technology Instructor positions. Both positions are full-time, Monday through Friday, and located at either the Main Campus, 2905 Highway 231 North, Shelbyville, TN, or Ariens Corporation, 1810 Wilson Parkway, Fayetteville, TN.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide individualized classroom and lab instruction to high school and adult students to prepare them for careers in welding.
• Demonstrate and explain welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, OFC, and PAC) in classroom and lab settings.
• Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.
• Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.
• Assist in recruitment and placement of students.
• Maintain good public relations with business and industry and maintain an active advisory board.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

3+ years of approved work experience in the welding occupation : Experience with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, OFC, and PAC using various materials.

Fabrication and blueprint reading experience.

Technical teaching experience a plus.
