A Day in the Life :
As part of the Microbiology Division team, you will help our customers find solutions and workflows for food, clinical and pharmaceutical environments. You will be responsible for :
- Feeding animals daily and provide care as needed.
- Setting up equipment for bleeding, maneuver animals into shoots, bleed animals as needed, and clean area thoroughly.
- Assisting with general farm upkeep of fence lines, drainage ditches, lawn, house / farm repairs including minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Providing basic feed and upkeep for animals on a weekend rotation basis.
- Operating company vehicles and machinery such as tractors, truck and loader.
- Checking farm for safety and security as needed.
- Using hand-held machinery, such as grinder, drill and weed eater for routine farm upkeep.
- Reporting any actual or potential safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist or Senior Management.
Keys to Success : Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience
Basic exposure to hand tools and equipment from a farming environment.2 years of related farm experience or equivalent experienceKnowledge, Skills, Abilities
