Mortgage Loan Originator - Denton, TX

Position Summary

The Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) will be responsible for originating the loan products offered by the bank as well as develop internal and external referral sources to generate new mortgage lending business, including conventional residential mortgage and FHA / VA loans. The officer should have a passion for serving the community, enabling the dream of homeownership with deep relationships with community organizations, homeownership advocacy groups, and other non-profits. This sales role expects strong production results, with a particular focus on serving customers in low-and-moderate income and minority communities. With exceptional interpersonal skills and dedication to customer service will be vital throughout the originations process where you will be the customer's primary point of contact. The MLO represents the bank in a professional and enthusiastic manner by supporting the mission statement and adhering to our core values in all functions of their job responsibilities and interaction with internal and external customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants and request specific information for mortgage loan application.
• Serves as primary contact with all parties on individual loans originated from application to closing; duties may include :

Counseling and pre-qualifying potential home buyers
