Job Description

This position is for a MIG welder at a manufacturing company in South Bend. The role involves welding various components for structures, including floors and side panels. You will work with different beams such as I-beams and channels, and use an overhead crane to retrieve materials from the appropriate location. You will follow blueprints to fit materials in the correct location and perform TAC MIG welds to lock them in place.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various steel components including I-beams and channels.
• Read and interpret blueprints to fit materials in the correct location.
• Use an overhead crane to retrieve materials.
• Perform TAC welds to secure materials in place.
• Conduct welding on mild and structural steel.
• Utilize hand tools and a tape measure accurately to 1 / 16 inch.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing facility where employees work four 10-hour shifts, with occasional shifts on Fridays. The standard workweek is 40-48 hours, with shifts running from 5 AM to 3 : 30 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
