Job Description\n

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with ASHA certification and 2+ years of experience for an inpatient rehab assignment with emergency response duties.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in an inpatient rehabilitation unit within an academic medical center
  • Monday through Friday schedule from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM
  • Day shift with five 8-hour shifts per week
  • No local travelers accepted; candidates must live at least 65 miles away
  • May be assigned to an Emergency Team during critical events and required to stay at facility as needed
  • Unit accepts first-time travelers
  • Emergency response responsibilities may require staying onsite or assisting as part of a relief team
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be included in your profile and discussed during the interview
  • All certifications must be AHA approved

  • Current Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA)
  • Active Louisiana SLP license required; allow 3-4 weeks for processing if needed
  • Minimum of 2 years of SLP experience
  • Modified Barium Swallow Study certification preferred
  • License required if applicable
