Job Description

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining records of property owned by the government in accordance with company procedures and government regulations. Duties in this role include receiving property and accounting for it while L3Harris's stewardship. The Property Specialist will also create repair jobs for failed units owned by the Government. Shipments are prepared and managed by the Property Specialist who understands the importance and critical need for this equipment which is used by our soldiers overseas. The Property Specialist will follow F.A.R, internal policy and regulations to ensure that the Government Property Management System is approved and adequate during audits performed by Government Officials. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions :

• Maintains records and logs of property received, transferred, allocated, held and disposed
• Coordinates property transfers
• Conducts periodic property inventories
• Prepares property status reports
• Performs and participates in Government Audits and tours
• Contributes towards management of assets worth over $1 Billion in value
• Contributes towards management of 60,000-line items of property
• Tracks and manages Government Property through the customer's property system :
• CAVS (Navy Property System)
• CALMSS (Air Force Property System)
• FOCUS (Army Property System)

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary / AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience Preferred
