Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for a Communications Specialist to join the Global Finance Services Division. As a Communications Specialist, you will work to create employee communications content and participate in the execution of employee communications programs within the organization. This work is a key function of the division that allows for true engagement and collaboration across the organization. This position supports the division communications team to execute internal communications plans in support of our strategy and business goals. What You Will Do

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and advise on the suitability of approaches for communication efforts

Track and analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications

Assist in the planning and creation of content for employee communication channels; ensure that messaging and branding are consistent across all channels

Create clear, attractive graphic materials that follow brand guidelines and help communicate messages effectively

Develop and distribute communications materials, such as written communications, presentation materials, etc.

What You Have

Education / Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related experience

Decision Making and Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment

Interpersonal Relationships : Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner

Communicating for Impact : Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations; ability to produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees

Planning and Organizing : Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way

Summary Pay Range

$79,800.00 – $119,760.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
