Responsibilities

At The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy (COSSPP), The Information Assistant is more than just a job; it's an opportunity. In addition to working directly with the Director of Communications, The Information Assistant gains life experience that goes far beyond completing projects in a friendly environment.

• Writing, editing news, and feature stories.
• Coordinating social media activities and website updates.
• Website updates, photography at events, and organizing content.
• Digital archives, and other marketing and administrative tasks as needed.

The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy (COSSPP) seeks a Information Assistant & Writer with excellent writing and editing skills to serve as a member of the College's Communications Team representing two of our units, Economics and Sociology, and enhancing overall communications from to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. This position reports to the Director of Communications and works with leadership and key faculty from departments to develop and publish news stories, make website updates related to communications tasks, coordinate social media posts and engagement, promote events and opportunities at FSU and beyond, and produce visual content by providing graphic design and photography services at events and in the studio.
