Optometry Technician

Reports to : Health Center Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Optometric Technician is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the clinic under the direction and supervision of the Health Center Administrator. The Optometric Technician is expected to conduct pre-screening exams, process patient information and maintain the operation of the examination room. This position requires strong team work and communication skills.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS :

• High School graduate or GED
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited school and / or Optometric Technician Program or equivalent experience
• BLS Certification
• Experience preferred
• Computer literacy
