Director of Quality and Reliability

Aeva’s mission is to bring the next wave of perception to a broad range of applications from automated driving to industrial robotics, consumer electronics, consumer health, security, and beyond. Aeva 4D LiDAR sensors uniquely detect instant velocity in addition to 3D position, allowing autonomous devices like vehicles and robots to make more intelligent and safe decisions.

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Director of Quality & Reliability, you will be responsible for providing leadership across Aeva and its suppliers to ensure processes and actions are in place to drive for zero defects for components and products, as well as ensure that our products meet all Aeva and customer reliability targets. This role reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

What you’ll do :

• The individual will lead a team of Product, Software, and Supplier Quality Engineers to maintain a robust, end‑to‑end quality system as well as drive continuous improvements in the quality of components, products, and services within the supply base
• You will also lead a team of reliability engineers to conduct reliability and quality assurance testing to ensure products meet performance standards and customer expectations.
• Deep understanding of automotive quality standards and methodologies
• This role requires deep technical expertise, cross functional leadership, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, complex environment.
• Managing Aeva’s compliance with relevant ISO standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while ensuring the supply base is in compliance as well.
• Coordinate and prepare for internal customer and regulatory audits
• Serve as a liaison with customers and suppliers on quality related manners

What You’ll Need

Salary Range

$181,000—$245,000 a year

Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job‑related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future. Depending on the position offered, equity, bonus, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, pre‑tax commuter and health care / dependent care accounts, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and 11 paid holidays annually.
