Your day at NTT DATA

The Director, Network Sales Specialists will be responsible for the strategic sales strategy of their respective domain delivering on both the top and bottom-line objectives. This role reports to the Tower Leader for their respective domain and will lead the sales function, managing an organization of sales specialists. Building a high-performing and growth-oriented sales specialist organization, establishing a strong operating model that drives rigor, accountability and attainment as well as partnering with an ecosystem of alliance partners to drive credibility will all be key areas of focus for this position.

What you'll be doing

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Translates the Regional sales strategy and strategic objectives into a sales strategy for their respective domain driving opportunities within strategic accounts and with net new Technology Solutions prospects.
  • Leads and coaches their sales team by setting and measuring performance targets, account allocation, and enforcing the execution of the effective client account plans, call planning and opportunity qualification.
  • Attract, engage, develop and retain a high performing sales team focused on growth.
  • Instill an environment where the sales team sells in a holistic, solution selling approach to solve customers’ business problems and / or issues with NTT’s offerings across its portfolio of solutions and services.
  • Ability to work within the broader NTT framework and work successfully in a large and matrix organization, where building strong internal relationships is key, and a highly proactive approach is required.
  • Engage and build strong relationships and synergies with OEM partners in the domain. Ensuring deal alignment and sales strategy with the partner together with governance and cadence on mutual pipeline reviews against the joint growth initiatives.
  • Working / coaching on key deals together with their sales specialist team members to improve discount structures and scenarios that enable NTT to lead with NTT solutions and services across consulting, professional services, support services and adoption services.
  • Help drive the necessary transformation within the Technology sales organization (go-to-market, cultural, performance, etc.) to position NTT as a thought leader with clients and partners.
  • Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products ensuring effective pipeline generation and accurate forecasting.
  • Manages and drives sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors within their respective domain
  • Drives accountability and commitment throughout the organization which leads to predictable execution.
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with internal and external partners to the benefit of their clients.
  • Interface at executive level across a broad range of entities and interested parties, including partners, clients, business leaders, key influencers, and decision makers.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes :

  • Sales Solution Skills – Knowledge of NTT offerings, client applications, use cases and market trends and the skill to apply them holistically to individual client and prospect situations that positions the sales team member as an expert client advisor. Success will require the ability to link NTT offerings, including high-value services to specific client / prospect needs and business outcomes in a solution selling approach.
  • Resources Optimization - Build internal relationships in a highly matrixed organization. Work with pursuit teams and leveraging vendors as resources throughout the sales cycle.
  • Sales Pursuit – Ability to enable a sales team member to create success by identifying and advancing opportunities at assigned prospects and clients.
  • Partner experience : Knowledge of and relationships with core strategic partners for the specific tower.
  • Communication skills :  Clearly conveying sales targets, expectations, and feedback to their team, while actively listening and providing constructive criticism.
  • Strategic thinking :  Developing a data-driven sales strategy to solve customer problems and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Adaptability :  Flexibility to quickly respond to market shifts and internal changes to maintain team performance.
  • Motivation :  Inspiring and encouraging the team to reach their full potential.
  • Coaching skills :  Providing personalized feedback and guidance to help individuals develop their skills and achieve their target.
  • Emotional intelligence :  Recognizing and managing emotions within the team to navigate interpersonal challenges.
  • Data-driven decision making :  Using analytics and metrics to inform sales strategies and track progress.
  • Customer focus :  Building long-term relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing value. Success will require detailed understanding of client needs, effective sales planning, and building trust, all while managing to client expectations. Developing the skills required to build lasting client relationships, driving growth and to be seen as a trusted advisor.

  • Leadership by example :  Demonstrating the behaviors and work ethic expected from the team.
  • Academic Qualifications and Certifications :

  • Business related degree with strong track record in sales and marketing strategy (tech focus preferable)
  • Required Experience :

  • 7-10 years’ experience in a leadership and management role
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in selling technology solutions
  • Strategic planning and execution experience
  • Proven track record in achieving targets and managing financial results\
  • P&L / Budget management experience
  • Workplace type : Remote Working
