Paralegal

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting attorneys and managing cases with a focus on plaintiff-side litigation, particularly involving sensitive matters of childhood sexual abuse. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while collaborating within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities :

• Manage a caseload of 60-70 cases, with a mix of single plaintiff cases and coordinated cases.
• Draft and file legal documents, including discovery, motions, deposition notices, and subpoenas.
• Coordinate litigation schedules and deadlines (knowing discovery deadlines is a must!).
• Format and electronically file legal documents across state, federal, and appellate courts.
• Prepare for trial, including organizing materials and assisting attorneys during proceedings.
• Train and mentor paralegals, fostering growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Act as a liaison between attorneys and paralegals to address workflow challenges and performance issues.
