Master Scheduler

Job Summary

The Master Scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling of production builds on a specified production line, utilizing such factors as customer orders, takt time, setup time and master production plan.

Job Duties

• Review and maintain the master production schedule for a given production line and associated MRP generated schedule
• Maintain a weekly “order board” for assigned production line
• Assist in problem solving efforts regarding customer emergencies or failure to meet customer needs by finding additional work orders to pull into the schedule
• Assist in resolving conflicts in meeting the client’s production schedule
• Work in concert with internal customer service associate as well as account management when customer needs cannot be met
• Maintain pull list for assigned production line
• Communicate status of work orders to purchasing, production and stockroom teams and escalate issues that would jeopardize the planned production schedule
• Expedite production schedule to ensure production plan start / completion is completed on time per internal scheduled ship dates
• Review customer demand against upcoming production schedule to meet demand and improve efficiency through economic production quantities
• Participate in A3 problem solving to improve product quality
• Perform other duties as assigned
