The Role

Ellis & Watts is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in technical drafting and design within a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Under the guidance of a Lead Designer and a team of Engineers the CAD Designer will contribute to the creation and modification of technical drawings and 3D models using industry-standard CAD software. This role plays a key part in supporting design documentation across a variety of projects and offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

This position is on-site at our Batavia OH facility.

What Youll Do

As a CAD Designer youll support our design and documentation efforts by :

• Creating 2D drawings and 3D models from engineering sketches and specifications
• Updating existing CAD files with design changes and redlines
• Assisting with technical documentation like BOMs and part lists
• Ensuring all drawings meet Company and industry standards
• Organizing CAD files and maintaining version control
• Collaborating with engineers project / design engineers and fellow designers
• Performing quality checks for accuracy and clarity
• Participating in training and mentorship to build your technical skills
• Supporting drawing package preparation and distribution
• Pitching in on other tasks to help meet project goals
