Director of Nursing Primary Responsibilities Include :

Participates in the development and / or the implementation of philosophy, objectives, policies and standards of Nursing practice in accordance with the goals of the organization

• Maintains adequate Nursing coverage to provide safe Nursing care for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assure that all customers are treated fairly, with compassion, dignity and respect
• Works with the Administrator to develop, allocate and control the budget for the Department of Nursing Services
• Collects and analyzes clinical data from internal and external sources for Quality Assurance measures. Presents findings and plans for continuously improvement monthly to the Quality Assurance / Risk Management Committee
• Completes daily rounds on the units to observe customers and to determine if Nursing needs are being met
• Provides direction to Nursing staff through written policies, procedures, Nursing administration meetings, routine staff meetings, and written memos

Director of Nursing Education and Experience Requirements :

Active Florida RN license
