Job Summary
The Environmental Tech Center student aide will assist in planning and preparing student, staff and faculty sustainability projects in the ETC.

Essential Functions
30% - Watering, weeding, trimming and maintenance of established gardens, classroom and projects.
30% - Assisting in the improvement of ongoing projects such as campus seed libraries, establishing a native plant and cactus nursery, research and development of pest abatement strategies, adobe brick building and greenhouses.
20% - Giving garden tours, and engaging with and encouraging students and the campus community while answering ETC related inquiries.
10% - Social media and other marketing and outreach efforts.
10% - Research and development of special project of interest
Desired Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who is interested in sustainability, and has a passion for bettering the health of their environment and community.
Must be willing to get dirty, and be able to perform reasonable demands of working a physical job outdoors.
This will include but is not limited to bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, digging, working around bugs and wildlife, and in both hot and cold conditions.
Experience with gardening is a plus, but not required.
We are looking for a motivated individual with creative problem solving skills and a positive attitude to help us create experiential learning opportunities and further the ETC’s sustainability goals.
