Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and required ARRT certifications to join a dynamic radiology team.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an acute care radiology department covering both CT and X-ray
  • Daily procedures average 80 combined between XR and CT
  • Equipment includes Siemens 64 and 128-slice CT scanners, Siemens fluoro, multiple portables, and C-arms
  • Charting is performed using Cerner EMR
  • Varied day shift start times : 0630, 0700, 0730, 0800, and 1000
  • Call is not required but is encouraged
  • CT technologists will float to portable CXR, CT, C-arms, X-ray, and Fluoro throughout the hospital
  • Three-day orientation is provided
  • Travelers must provide their own teal scrubs and radiation badge
  • Department features on-site radiologists 7 days a week with teleradiologist coverage after hours
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with the team are essential
  • Must not have worked directly for any CommonSpirit facility, including CHI and Dignity, in the past year except PRN through outside agencies
  • Holiday coverage rotates with core staff
  • Patient transport resources are available within the department

    • Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of CT experience in an acute care setting
  • Active BLS and ARRT (R) and (CT) certifications required
  • California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) with Fluoroscopy permit required
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience operating Siemens, Carestream, GE, OEC, and Philips imaging equipment preferred
  • Ability to provide two recent professional references, including one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years
