Girls Basketball - MS Head Coach

Des Moines Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Girls Basketball Head Coach at Meredith Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year.

Job Summary :

To instruct participants in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary to realize a high degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the student athlete shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulization and internalization of pride of accomplishment, self- discipline, self-confidence and sportsmanship. Assist the High School Varsity Head Coach in the alignment and implementation of systems and skill development regarding the athletic program.

Successful candidates for this position will possess :

Valid IA Coaching Endorsement or Coaching Authorization

Highly Qualified candidates for this position will possess :

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Coaching or related field.

Stipend for this position : To Be determined for the 2024-2025 school year. For the the 2023-2024 school year = $2,138

Stipend amounts are based on a percentage of the base salary negotiated by DMEA. Stipends are subject to be prorated if the full season is not worked.
