Summary : The Security Guard / Janitor will be a highly observant and detail-oriented security guard with janitorial responsibilities, performing routine patrols, monitoring access points, maintaining cleanliness of common areas, responding to incidents, and ensuring the overall safety and security of the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Control access to the site for authorized individuals during closed hours.
• Ensure the security of the site by regularly conducting surveillance rounds in designated areas.
• Respond to security alarms, suspicious activity, and emergencies by contacting relevant authorities.
• Responsible for promptly reporting any malfunctions, serious anomalies, or safety hazards to the management or designated person according to established policies.
• Maintain logbooks documenting security activities and observations.
• Monitor the operation of running equipment during surveillance rounds and report any malfunctions.
• Maintain the general cleanliness of the main building, which includes the administrative area, all offices, the conference room, entrances, break room, bathrooms, and any other rooms located therein.

Education and Work Experience :

5+ years of experience in security and / or janitorial work

Valid security guard license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Work Conditions :

Environment Type : Indoor, Office environment. Temperature controlled.

Exposure Types : May be exposed to and / or in contact with dirty and chemical products, as well as toxic gases.

Work Hours : Will be working night shift hours; overtime may be necessary.

Travel Requirements : No travel required.

Physical Demands : Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. Will primarily be working alone. May be required to handle heavy and dirty objects.

Security Clearance Statement - This position may require a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
