Your mission
Serve as the trusted, field-based expert for hospitals across Oregon. You’ll independently maintain, repair, and optimize STERIS and other manufacturers’ medical equipment—documenting work to regulatory standards and partnering with internal teams to resolve complex issues fast.
How you’ll make an impact
- Restore uptime : pinpoint faults, perform repairs, and complete preventive maintenance.
- Own your route : plan and prioritize PMs, service / warranty calls, installations, field upgrades, and special projects.
- Stay compliant : use advanced technology platforms to complete regulatory tasks and capture accurate service records.
- Elevate experiences : explain findings, provide pricing and repair options, and collaborate with Sales to enhance value and identify opportunities.
- Support broadly : cover multiple customer locations within your territory as needs evolve.
What you’ll need
High School Diploma or GED plus 4+ years of total work experience, including 2+ years in a technical / mechanical capacity; an associate degree, relevant certifications, competitive equipment training, or related military experience may apply toward the technical requirement.Valid driver’s license and ability to satisfy background and physical assessments for vendor credentialing.Customer-facing and team collaboration experience.Strong communication skills, written and verbal.Basic PC proficiency (Windows, email, navigation, mobile apps, and multi-system data entry).Willingness to work flexible schedules, including potential overnights and early / late hours.Who succeeds here
Technicians from HVAC, mechanics, maintenance, refrigeration, boilers / chillers, equipment repair, diesel / automotive, aviation, plumbing, or electrical backgrounds often excel.
Work setting
This is a remote, customer-facing position performed primarily inside hospitals. Residency in Oregon is required to support the assigned territory.
