Children's Minnesota Nursing Assistant Position

Our St. Paul 5th floor is a 26-bed pediatric medical / surgical unit that cares for a spectrum of children from infants to young adults suffering from both acute and chronic medical conditions. Our team of dedicated professionals specializes in the care of patients with diabetes, general medical / surgical care and children in acute behavioral health crisis. Our patients have an average length of stay ranging from overnight to several days for a specialty diagnosis. Patients are cared for by strong inter-disciplinary teams that include child life, music therapy, social work, dietitians, case managers and other specialists. Position Summary

Provides safe patient care as delegated by licensed nursing staff and maintains equipment and supplies per unit standard. Completed a nursing assistant course or equivalent experience, or completed a nursing or health care related clinical practicum course. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Education :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
