Job Title : Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET)

Location : 620 John Paul Jones Circle, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA 23708

Work Schedule : Monday Friday, 0600 to 1630 (8.5-hour shift including 30-minute unpaid meal break)

Qualifications :

• Education : Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Engineering; OR Participation in a formal GEHC Biomed / FE Services Internship or Military Externship Program; OR High school diploma / GED and 4 years of experience servicing electrical, electronic, IT, or mechanical equipment.
• Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician.
• License / Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or ARC).
• Other Requirements : Must be a US Citizen.
