The Process Technology Engineer will be responsible for investigating, designing, and conducting experiments aimed at continuous improvement and new product development involving high-purity solvents and other formulated products used in advanced, integrated circuit nodes.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for this role include :

Core Areas of Responsibility :

• Lead Process Technology Development :
• Direct and oversee process technology initiatives for Fujifilm's ultrapure solvents (UPS), focusing on advanced purification techniques such as nano-filtration and distillation. Ensure these processes are effectively documented and promoted.
• Guide New Product Development (NPD) and Continuous Improvement (CIP) :
• Manage projects from pilot scale through to high-volume manufacturing (HVM), ensuring smooth transitions and scalability.
• Align Raw Materials and Strategic Sourcing :
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business / sales, procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and R&Dto ensure raw materials and sourcing strategies align with PCS / SQC objectives.
• Set Packaging Standards :
• Establish and document specifications for next-generation product packaging, including a detailed evaluation of materials of construction and their impact on finished product quality. Provide recommendations for future needs based on data-driven analysis.
• Coordinate with Customers and Suppliers :
• Collaborate with strategic customers and suppliers to develop and implement mutually beneficial Process Technology roadmaps for FEUS.
• Process Simulation and Modeling :
• Conduct process simulation modeling prior to pilot distillation and scaling to full production. Emphasize optimizing the total cost of ownership for ultrapure solvents.
• Contribute to the Global Process Technology team :
• Be an integral member of the UPS Process Technology team to support the development of best-in-class product purity and quality, minimizing quality incidents while enhancing FFEM's overall value proposition.
• Establish advanced product and process development protocols :
• Develop and refine product and process characterization protocols that meet PCS and STC requirements for next-generation customer demands.
• Execute design of experiments (DOE) :
• Design and conduct experiments to fully understand the effects of raw materials and process variables on finished product quality. Analyze results to refine experimental approaches and support successful product introductions.
• Contribute to process control Technology :
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust process control technologies for measurable process and analytical chemical parameters, both in-house and at supplier locations.
• Research and implement advanced process technologies :
• Investigate and integrate new process technologiessuch as filtration, distillation, and ion exchange and in-situ metrology to ensure Fujifilm adopts and utilizes state-of-the-art advancements.
