Requirements :

One-year recent nursing experience preferred.

Current Louisiana or COMPACT RN License

Current BLS VIA AHA

Current ACLS VIA AHA

Candidates will be required to float to any floor of the facility to care for patients in their skill set. This will be at the discretion of the facility based on need and staffing.

Ratios may be 5-6- : 1 depending on the floor assigned and patient acuity.

Weekend Requirement :

3 weekends in a 6 week schedule

Floating Requirement / Locations :

Required to float when needed

Summary :

The competent Nurse in the same or similar clinical setting practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
