Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

At Turion Space, our Platform Engineering team is building the infrastructure backbone that powers the next generation of space exploration. As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you'll architect and scale the internal developer platform that enables our engineering teams to deploy spacecraft control systems, autonomous satellite operations, and mission-critical applications with speed and confidence.

Our team's mission is to enable Turion engineers to efficiently and reliably deliver products at scale, and support missions that can't afford downtime when hardware is operating hundreds of miles above Earth. You'll create the infrastructure for a self-service platform that is as reliable and cutting-edge as the spacecraft it supports.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage core infrastructure components including microservices, databases, and supporting services
• Design and implement improvements to our container orchestration platform
• Develop abstraction layers that enable infrastructure portability across different deployment targets
• Build and optimize reusable infrastructure components and templates for consistent cross-environment deployments
• Define and implement standardized deployment patterns and workflows
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to understand their requirements and translate them into functional cloud solutions with industry best practices
• Identify operational bottlenecks and architect innovative solutions that maximize system availability and reliability

Senior Cloud Platform Engineer Salary : $174,000 - $213,000 USD
