Job Summary

Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals as a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in Adult Respiratory Care. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality treatment to patients based on physician directives and departmental protocols, working autonomously in acute and critical care settings.

Your Impact

As an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will have the opportunity to consult with physicians and healthcare personnel, making informed recommendations on treatment plans for patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy procedures in compliance with physician's orders and guidelines. - 20%
• Obtain and analyze blood gases accurately, reporting results to the healthcare team. - 10%
• Initiate, monitor, and manage diverse mechanical ventilation needs. - 20%
• Effectively manage airways and associated equipment. - 10%
• Document and charge for all procedures, providing essential education to patients and families. - 10%
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all healthcare team members, ensuring a strong handoff and reporting process. - 10%
• Adhere to stringent infection control and quality standards, ensuring equipment is cleaned and sterilized appropriately. - 10%
• Utilize resources wisely, demonstrating stewardship in time and supply management.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have graduated from a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the American Medical Association or be eligible for licensure in South Carolina. You should also hold the necessary certifications, including BLS and current NBRC credentials.
