Your main tasks and responsibilities :

• Perform daily Inspections and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment and Welding Machines including cables, Welding torch etc. as per Schedule.
• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Operate manually welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes primarily TIG and some experience with : (OAW), (GTAW), (GMAW) (MIG)
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
• Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding, brazing and soldering equipment
• adjusting welding heads and tooling according to work specifications
• Perform Self-Inspection of parts and work to print
• Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Check machine for defects and repair if necessary
• Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned
• Lift work piece manually, by forklift or by overhead crane, positions and secures against guides and stops.

To succeed in this role, you will need :

Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program Ability to set-up and run machinery without supervision

Understand and follow oral and written instructions

Forklift or Crane license considered an asset

Trade certification is required

Ability to read and interpret production and sales orders.
