Position Summary
Performs specialized administrative support tasks necessary to support the Deputy Administrator of Population Health and Newborn Screening. In addition, including data entry, scheduling, analyzing, processing, statistical, and data control while exercising initiative, independent judgment, and maintaining confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications
100% -
1. Four (4) years of experience in clerical, bookkeeping, data processing, or statistical work; AND
2. High school diploma or possess a GED; OR
3. Three (3) years of experience in clerical, bookkeeping, data processing, or statistical work; and one (1) year college study (30 semester hours or 36 quarter hours).
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND / OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Serves as the primary point of contact for Newborn Screening processing, outreach, and trains backup staff on the Newborn Screening process.
2.Receives, greets visitors, and answers questions concerning Population Health.
3.Responds to urgent calls, emails, and maintains the Deputy Administrator’s calendar to include scheduling and removing appointments.
4.Prepares and stores agendas, minutes, letters, memoranda, requisitions, records, and data requests, travel reports, check requests, petty cash forms, and all other allowable forms.
5.Assists with the research and submission of grants and contracts.
6.Maintains adequate office supplies and manages functional office equipment.
7.Assists with spending funds related to the general fund.
8.Assists with programs and special events.
9.Responsible for carrying out mandatory assigned tasks related to public health emergency preparedness and response, training, and periodic disaster drills.
10.Performs other related duties as required or directed.

Physical Requirements
Work may require lifting and transporting materials and supplies to external locations of up to 20 pounds.
Special Requirements
1. Must be able to type 25 words per minute.
