Key Responsibilities
Execute components of the treatment plan developed by the PT including therapeutic exercise programs modalities (e.g. heat ultrasound) gait training and functional mobility activities.
Communicate and collaborate with physicians PTs clinic staff and support personnel to coordinate care and ensure a high standard of patient service.
Document patient progress responses to treatment and plan modifications in accordance with state regulations and department policies.
Maintain compliance with infection control standards OSHA regulations and clinic policies.
Assist with training and supervising physical therapy technicians or support staff (as required).
Actively engage in professional development and support clinic performance goals such as productivity quality of care and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program and state PTA licensure or certification required.
Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience (orthopedic experience preferred).
Proficient in documenting patient care strong interpersonal and communication skills ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Ability and willingness to work with patients of all ages diverse backgrounds and varying clinical presentations.
Comfortable with treatment modalities gait and mobility training supportive devices (braces slings) and electronic medical record documentation.
