EEG Technician

SHIFT : 7PM-7AM

POSITION SUMMARY :

Under minimal supervision performs electroencephalograms (EEG) at a senior level to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of cerebral impairment. Calculates and analyzes standard and special procedure testing. Provides a descriptive analysis and results according to the department policy and procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Ability to perform testing independent of direct supervision and maintain a high degree ofcredibility through accurate analysis and interpretation of test results. Analytic ability isrequired for analyzing patient history to determine proper testing procedures forcalibrating equipment troubleshooting malfunctions eliminating recording artifactscalculating test results and composing preliminary reports.
• Maintain cleaning / disinfection of equipment supplies and electrodes to provide safepatient care.
• Interpersonal skills are necessary for exchanging information with patients physiciansoffice staff or records personnel. Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to acutemedical situations i.e. convulsive seizures.
• Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety-related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
• Follows the JHACH Culture statement in all interactions with patients families and coworkers to promote service excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Salary Range : Minimum / hour - Maximum / hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
