Primary Function of Position

The New Product Verification team assures safe, reliable, and effective products that exceed patient, surgeon, and hospital expectations. As Manager, Test Engineering, you will lead a team of test engineers and engineering technicians, contributing to product development deliverables, talent development, and process improvement within New Product Verification.

Essential Job Duties

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of test engineers and engineering technicians with applied science backgrounds.
• Train, mentor, and motivate team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high engagement.
• Establish team objectives, metrics, and individual work goals aligned with product development schedules and process improvement milestones.
• Prioritize and negotiate resource tradeoffs with project managers, engineering leaders, and laboratory resources.
• Influence cross‑functional project teams in the design, development, verification, and validation of new products with complex functionality.
• Guide the team in translating complex product requirements to testable acceptance criteria and develop harmonized test methods and on‑test method validation strategy.
• Drive operational efficiencies by identifying and developing processes, test methods, and fixture designs.
• Provide vision for the test engineering team and champion best practices for verification.
