HVAC Designer

Job Summary

As a HVAC Layout Designer, you will support design development of facility layouts and piping & equipment in a 3D model using S3D

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.” #LI-SNH

Major Responsibilities :

• 3D modeling of HVAC Duct and equipment in S3D
• Preparation of drawings / documents for General Arrangements, HVAC orthographic drawings.
• Assists with coordination of 3D model activities, i.e. input, interference reconciliation, etc.
• Ensures compliance with approved PD&P design standards in own work and by those assigned, to provide quality design.
• Ensures PD&P systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards
• Reviews and checks calculations, design models, drawings and design documents prepared
• Interfaces with support engineers, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of 3D model and drawings for the purpose of model / space control, etc.
• Possesses responsibility for the accuracy of bulk material quantity take-offs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline
• Works with designers in other disciplines to coordinate overall design and technical requirements
