We have an excellent on-site opportunity for a Systems Analyst (C. Advanced) with the State of FL in Tallahassee, FL. This is a long-term contract position requiring full-time, in-person work. Please review the job details below and let me know if you would be interested in pursuing this role.

Telecommuting :

  • Not authorized must work onsite

    • Work Hours :

  • Flexibility required between 7 : 00 AM 7 : 00 PM
  • Occasional Saturdays or rotation-based on-call work may be required

    • Scope of Services

    The selected candidate will support the Office of Information Technology by :

  • Documenting critical business processes
  • Analyzing current business functions to identify improvements
  • Supporting process redesign, development, and testing
  • Working with financial systems and related business processes
  • Acting as an SME for applications involving complex financial workflows
  • Ensuring scalable and robust solutions on large cross-functional projects

    • Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • OR equivalent hands-on technical experience

    • Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years as a lead developer or development manager
  • 5+ years working with development technologies, including Oracle databases or similar relational systems
  • Highly desired : Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio / .NET

    • Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a developer and SME for financial business applications on large cross-functional initiatives
  • Provide guidance to QA teams throughout all stages of the development lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts (roadmaps, methodologies, standards)
  • Collaborate with distributed teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and development practices

    • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    Technical KSAs :

  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio / .NET (preferred)
  • Experience with ORMs such as Entity Framework or nHibernate
  • Prior development and maintenance experience with complex financial systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
  • Ability to apply research and best practices for continuous improvement
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively with development teams
  • Professionalism in all interactions with staff and leadership
