job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMinimum 3 years’ experience in a business analyst position or business process experience within the financial services industry Hands-on experience with Core Fiserv DNA application preferred, or equivalent banking platform Advanced proficiency with SQL Robust analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to critically evaluate user requirements to establish underlying true needs Working knowledge of process improvement framework and tools is preferred Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines Strong business communication skills; able to write / speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences including senior leadership, technical teams, and member support teams Proven ability to professionally handle confidential / sensitive documents Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Visio is preferred Certification / License : Lean / Six Sigma and / or Scrum / Agile is preferred Traditional medical, dental, and vision coverage 401K matching up to 5% per pay period Accrue up to 17 days of Paid Time Off your first year of employment 11 paid federal holidays Special employee pricing on lending products such as mortgage, auto, and personal loans (eligibility for special employee pricing is subject to standard account requirements and underwriting criteria)
Description
The Business Analyst II performs business process related activities that are focused on measuring and improving quality, cost effectiveness, efficiency, member and customer satisfaction and other desired business outcomes and strategic business decisions. The analyst is able to collaborate across many business functions and quickly learn new processes.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful :
Job Duties :
- Proactively identify systems, products, processes and procedural improvements utilizing LEAN Six Sigma methodology including cross-functional impacts
- Elicit business and user requirements via interviews, workshops, questionnaires, SIPOC diagrams, use cases, user stories, business process modeling, analysis of existing systems and documentation, and other methods
- Create business requirements documentation and flowcharts to support interdepartmental initiatives
- Identify opportunities to effectively mitigate risks and improve business performance, ensuring defined solutions resolve problems end-to-end
- Facilitate interdepartmental initiatives targeting the implementation of new products, services and processes, as requested
- Contribute to department effectiveness by understanding the current methods of operation for the various credit union functions and how automation can be leveraged to improve operations
- Coordinate the review, analysis, and socialization of upcoming core and 3rd party vendor upgrades and releases
- Configure and maintain system and product specifications in core and / or 3rd party vendor platforms
