We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This contract-to-permanent position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in managing invoice processing, vendor payments, and related accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy while working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include :

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and adherence to accounting standards.
• Perform three-way matching for purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to confirm accuracy.
• Handle check runs and ensure payments are issued to vendors as scheduled.
• Utilize Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software for invoice entry, payment tracking, and financial reporting.
• Maintain accrual accounting procedures to ensure accurate expense reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.
• Implement creative problem-solving to streamline accounts payable processes.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to accounts payable activities for management review.
• Monitor and manage purchase orders to ensure alignment with company policies.
• Support the accounting team with additional tasks as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
