Sterile Processing Technician ASC

Work Location : Heritage Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center, 79 Wagner Road, Monaca PA 15061

Work Hours : Monday thru Friday, primarily daylight

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and according to established nursing standards and surgery center policies and procedures, performs all aspects of cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments. In addition, assists OR personnel with supplies for surgical procedures.

REQUIRED

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Effective December 28, 2020 for newly hired Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Techs :

• Must pass a nationally accredited central service exam for CSP and maintain certification
• CSP technicians will have 18 months from date of hire to pass a nationally accredited central service exam
• Must complete 12 hours of continuing education annually

Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

PREFERRED

Central Sterile Processing experience.
