Technical Service Manager

Aviagen has an exciting opportunity for all those who have technical knowledge, skills or expertise. This position will provide technical service, by allowing us to respond better to the challenges of growth within our industry as well increased sales. Primary responsibilities will include servicing our customers within the region and supporting the regional manager in development and implementation of company action plans. This role requires an experienced, high caliber leader to drive Aviagen's commercial and technical inputs to a diverse and growing customer base. This position requires someone who is customer focused, business driven, science grounded and commercially astute. The ability to travel effectively is a prerequisite and experience of international business is an advantage.

Developing plans and deploying resources to service customers and achieve objectives Identifying and prioritizing key accounts Development and implementation of action plans Establishing and monitoring sales and service goals for all regional accounts Identifying and tracking specific performance results that affect breed choice Joint Venture management Management of distribution channels Regional product and brand development

Job Qualifications :

Understanding of Poultry Technology and current best management practices in the following areas : Breeder Production, Broiler Production, and Processing People Management and Interpersonal Skills : Accountability, Time Management, Conflict Management Organizational Skills Communication Skills, including the ability to present to any level of Corporate Management including Written Communication, Oral Communication, Negotiation, Meeting Skills, Social Skills Problem Solving Skills, including the use of SWOT Analysis Computer Skills, including E-Mail, Spread Sheets, use of Computer Database, Formal Letter-writing, and Economic Modeling Production Record Analysis Budgeting / Forecasting Knowledge Understanding of Development and Implementation of Customer Action Plans & Action Strategies
