Position Summary
The Procurement Program Manager, Principal within the Procurement Excellence Center Business Strategy team serves as a strategic partner and operational integrator. This role is responsible for orchestrating key initiatives, managing organizational deliverables and materials, facilitating meetings, and ensuring timing follow ups. The Program Manager will act as a central point of coordination - helping provide clarity, consistency, and momentum across key intiatives. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, strong organizational acumen, and the ability to anticipate needs, connect dots, and keep the leadership team focused on what matters most.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work headquarters. The candidate is required to be in PG&E Oakland General Office on Tuesdays at a minimum.
PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Pay Range display :
Bay Area – $140,000 - $207,000
Reporting Relationship
The Program Manager,Principal will report to the Manager, PEC Business Strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as the central point of coordination across Procurement initiatives - tracking deliverables, aligning stakeholders, and maintaining momentum on cross-functional projects.
- Leads Operating Reviews for both Procurement, and Procurement Excellence center
- Synthesizes complex information into executive-ready materials, including presentations, dashboards, and communications that support decision-making and organizational alignment
- Facilitates recurring team and leadership meetings by developing agendas, guiding discussions toward strategic priorities, and ensuring timely follow-up on action items.
- May attend meetings on behalf of Senior Director
- Supports development, and creation of high level presentations such as SLT, Board etc.
- Supports Employee Engagmenet across Procurement
- Composes, designs, and prepares various correspondence, presentations, communications, reports, documents, and other materials.
- May manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Leads development of program goals and metrics to meet company goals and objectives. Collaborates across organization to ensure alignment of goals to support program
- Responsible for utilizing other departments and teams to meet program goals.
- Organize and lead cross-utility project teams to influence utility, regulatory and / or industry decisions
- Solves unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
- Drives cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders in Finance, IT, Operations, and Business Units to ensure procurement initiatives align with enterprise priorities.
- Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making.

10 years of related experience or equivalentBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience in businessDesired
