Package Handler / Porter

Responsibilities

Building Information : The 21-story building comprises a collection of approximately one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residences, many of which bestow uninterrupted cityscape and Hudson River views and promise to provide residents a totally integrated lifestyle destination. Lantern House is part of a two-tower development that links underneath the High Line. The development is in the heart of the art gallery district and is within a short walk to sprawling parks, acclaimed restaurants, storied nightlife and several of Manhattan’s finest schools : Lantern House

The Porter / Package Handler responsibilities include :

• Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas, and restrooms (mop, sweep, strip / wax / buff floors, dust, vacuum and garbage removal)
• Light maintenance may be assigned
• Provide excellent customer service to residents
• General upkeep of the buildings and grounds
• Snow removal and landscaping
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition
• Special projects as assigned
• Create a luxury environment, exceeding expectations in genuine hospitality service.
• Approach all encounters with residents, guests, and colleagues in a gracious, attentive, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Respect the privacy, information, perspectives, priorities, time, and resources of each resident.
• Know the names of all residents and frequent guests.
• Greet all residents and guests confidently and cordially upon entering the property.
• Communicate resident concerns to property management and Related’s Corporate Office.
• Monitor security systems and cameras, conduct inspections of the property for vandalism, damage, and safety, and report any misconduct, incidents, and damages to property management for attention and repair.
• Maintain regular attendance and highest standards of personal appearance and grooming, in compliance with Related’s standards, as required by the employee handbook.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing packages and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate and complete shift notes and “pass-on” logs to ensure successful communication through shift changes.
• Follow emergency procedures as directed in the property manual.

Compensation :

$29. / hourly (Full Union Rate)

Schedule

Tuesday - Friday : 10am - 6 : 30pm (Package Attendant)

Saturday : 12pm - 8 : 30pm (Porter)

Off Sunday and Monday
