Job Title : Occupational Therapist (OT) - PRN

Location : Riviera Health Resort, Coral Gables, FL

About Riviera Health Resort : Riviera Health Resort is a 223-bed post-acute rehabilitation facility known for providing exceptional rehabilitative services and patient-centered care. Riviera has been ranked the 2nd best skilled nursing facility out of 700+ facilities in the state of Florida. Riviera has a 5-star Medicare ranking and is Joint Commission certified. The facility serves patients with joint replacements, fractures, strokes, and other medical complexities. Riviera Health Resort is dedicated to a team-oriented culture and providing high-quality care.

Job Summary :

Riviera Health Resort seeks a dedicated and compassionate PRN Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to residents on an as-needed basis, emphasizing weekend coverage. The Occupational Therapist will help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. The role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive outcomes.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and activities to help patients achieve their goals, focusing on activities of daily living, occupational skills, and cognitive / perceptual abilities.
  • Provide skilled intervention to improve patient functional independence.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other therapists, and family members to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge plans.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals, techniques, and home exercise programs.
  • Ensure patient safety and follow infection control protocols.

Schedule :

  • Per diem (PRN) basis, with a focus on weekend coverage.
  • Flexibility to work some weekday shifts as needed.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Florida.
  • Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for Occupational Therapists (OTR).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and treatment skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.

    • Preferred Experience :

  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
