Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer - Perm - Manhattan, New York

Our client is seeking sonographers for their healthcare organization. This is a full-time, salaried job opportunity.

The Main Location : Midtown, New York

Hours : 8 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm. No weekends or holidays. 37.5 hours per week.

The Pay : $43.00 - $61.00 hour (range based on experience / ARDMS credentials)

About the role :

• Localize and recognize difference between health and pathological areas
• Judge whether images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
• Integrate diagnostic sonogram with patients' history, medical records and laboratory results
• Present and prepare preliminary ultrasound findings to attending physician for final report
• Maintain log of ultrasound test findings
• Assist the physician with patient care
• Explain the procedure to the patient, record medical history considered necessary and prepare patient for testing
• Collaboratively work with billing / secretarial staff with regards to authorizations / charges
• Provide coverage vacation / sick day coverage at other sites as needed
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
