Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support an elementary school autism classroom for a full semester contract. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction to students with autism, utilizing adapted curricula to meet diverse learning needs. You will work closely with paraprofessionals in the classroom to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on adapted curriculum standards
• Manage an elementary caseload with a focus on students with autism
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to support classroom instruction and behavior management
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to ensure academic and social growth
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families and administration

Qualifications :

Current certification in adapted curriculum (mandatory)

Experience teaching students with autism in an elementary setting

Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and support staff

Strong communication and organizational skills

Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Hours and Schedule :

Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
