Description of Position : The Gift Planner is energized by the opportunity to advance Concordia’s faith-based, liberal arts mission through philanthropy. This is a frontline fundraiser responsible for securing major and planned gifts of $25,000 and higher from alumni, parents, and friends of the College. With a portfolio of approximately 100–120 households, these professional builds values-aligned relationships strategically aligning individual passions with institutional priorities. This role develops and implements donor cultivation strategies and serves as a thought partner in division-wide planning.Reporting to the Director of Development, the Gift Planner works collaboratively with the Vice President for Advancement, College President, faculty, and staff. This individual is a self-starting, mission-driven professional with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to donor engagement. The role involves both independent work and teamwork to support the College’s fundraising goals, particularly through discovery, cultivation, solicitation and relationship-building. Minimum Qualifications Education / Experience :
Three years of successful fundraising experience with demonstrated success securing major and / or planned gifts. Or three years, or more, of experience in transferable skills :
Experience in financial advising, insurance, or wealth management
Client relations with experience in building significant long-term relationships
Experience in higher education with external relationship-building responsibilities
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Salary – $66,000 – 80,000
The final salary will be determined based on factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications, and alignment with the position’s requirements. Other considerations may include internal equity and market conditions.
